Egypt to witness slight drop in temperature - file

CAIRO - 29 March 2025: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects a slight drop in temperatures across most parts of the country on Saturday, March 29, 2025, corresponding to the 29th day of Ramadan.
 
The weather will be warm during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northern Upper Egypt, and South Sinai, hot in southern Upper Egypt, and cool at night and early morning in most parts of the country.
 
Saturday will witness turbulent maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez, with wind speeds ranging from 40 to 50 km/h and waves ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 km/h.
 
There is a chance of light rain in the far west, accompanied by thunderstorms in southern Sinai, the Red Sea mountain ranges, and northern Upper Egypt.
 
Below are the temperatures in the cities and capitals of the governorates of the Republic:
 
- Cairo to record lows of 16°C, and highs of 27°C
- Arish to record lows of 12°C, and highs of  24°C
- Saint Catherine to record lows of 9°C, and highs of  23°C
- Alexandria to record lows of 13°C, and highs of  23°C
- Marsa Matrouh to record lows of 13°C, and highs of  26°C
- Shalateen to record lows of 20°C, and highs of  32°C
- Halayeb to record lows of 19°C, and highs of  30°C
- Qena to record lows of 17°C, and highs of  34°C
- Luxor to record lows of 17°C, and highs of  35°C
- Aswan to record lows of 19°C, and highs of  37°C
