President Sisi holds friendly discussions with heads of state in Moscow

CAIRO – 9 May 2025: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi engaged in friendly discussions with a number of heads of state attending celebrations marking Victory Day in the Russian capital, Moscow.

Those included China’s President Xi Jinping. President Sisi and his Chinese counterpart warmly welcomed their encounter.

President Sisi arrived in Moscow to participate in Russia’s Victory Day commemorations on Friday, at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Thursday a banquet hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin for the heads of state and foreign delegations who are in Moscow to participate in celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On Friday, President Sisi attended the military parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, held at Red Square in Moscow.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with several leaders and heads of state, were present.

President Sisi later attended a luncheon hosted by President Putin in honor of the attending leaders and presidents.
