CAIRO -27 June 2025: Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed bin Ahmed AlYammahi thanked Egypt and President Abdel Fattah al Sisi for supporting brothers in Gaza, during a press conference held in front of the Rafah crossing.
A high level delegation from the Arab Parliament led by Speaker AlYammahi visited the Rafah border crossing on Friday to assess the dire humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip. The visit comes amid ongoing Israeli military operations, a severe blockade, and the Israeli genocidal war against the Palestinian people.
“We are aware of the suffering experienced by Palestinians in Gaza. They face tragic health conditions as a result of the occupation's crimes, which history will never erase,” Speaker of the Arab Parliament said.
He expressed appreciation for ‘Egypt's significant support for the Palestinian people and its reception of Gaza's wounded’. He affirmed that “The international community must not turn a blind eye to the crimes of the Israeli occupation in Gaza.”
“We will continue to support the Palestinian cause with all our political tools, and we affirm our commitment to Arab pressure to halt the aggression against Gaza. It is time for a serious stand to put an end to the occupation's crimes in Gaza,”Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed bin Ahmed AlYammahi said.
