During the event, the minister reviewed the main aspects of the current phase of economic transformation for sustainable growth.
Egypt seeks to attract Japanese investments in the fields of renewable energy, software, electronics, food industries, logistics, automobiles and components, and electrical appliances.
Khatib said the Egyptian investment climate provides promising opportunities for Japanese investors in the sectors of renewable energy, manufacturing, IT, transportation, and logistics.
Meanwhile, Tomohiro Takashima, the director-general of JETRO stressed the importance of Egypt as a strategic investment partner for Japan.
For his part, Shigeyo Nishizawa, the managing director of JETRO Cairo office, briefed participants on the growth of Japanese investments in Egypt, as well as the great incentives offered by the Egyptian government.
A great host of senior Japanese government officials, and representatives of more than 200 Japanese companies and investment delegation have participated in the seminar.
The seminar was organized as part of joint efforts to promote economic relations, and open up new opportunities for Japanese companies to benefit from the industrial infrastructure and free trade agreements signed by Egypt, especially with African, European and Middle Eastern blocs.
