CAIRO – 29 July 2025: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that Israel is obstructing the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
It added that Gaza needs 600 trucks of aid per day to avert a humanitarian catastrophe, stressing that a quarter of Gaza's population is suffering from severe hunger.
On Monday, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi said that the situation inside Gaza Strip has become “tragic and unbearable.”
“We must ensure that as much aid as possible enters the Strip to alleviate the crisis for our Palestinian brothers,” He added.
Sisi called on all countries of the world, including the European Union, the United States, and the Arab region, to make every effort during this difficult period to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and allow aid into the Strip.
