In pics: Egyptian community in France support Egypt's positions on regional issues

CAIRO - 23 August 2025: The Egyptian community in France announced its full support for the "Your Homeland is Your Responsibility" initiative, launched by Egyptians abroad to stand behind the Egyptian state and support its national positions in confronting the current challenges facing the region.

 

This comes particularly in light of the deliberate distortion and misinformation campaigns targeting Egypt's honorable stances on Arab issues, most notably the Palestinian cause.

 

 

 

 

Leaders of the Egyptian community in France emphasized that the community's participation in this initiative stems from a national and moral duty, reflecting the sense of belonging of Egyptians abroad to their homeland and renewing their confidence in the Egyptian state and its leadership, which bears the heavy burden of protecting Egyptian and Arab national security.

 

They pointed out that the planned rally in front of the Egyptian embassy in Paris on Saturday and Sunday sends a strong message to the entire world that Egyptians abroad are united behind their country, that they reject all attempts at incitement and distortion against Egypt, and that they stand as a strong supporter of their country at this critical moment.

 

The Egyptian community in France emphasized that Egypt has been and will remain the beating heart of Arabism and the fundamental pillar in defending the Palestinian cause, noting that Cairo has, throughout history, sacrificed precious resources to support the Palestinian people and alleviate their suffering.

 

 

 

 

 

The community explained that the truth everyone must know, and one that some seek to obscure, is that the Rafah crossing is not closed on the Egyptian side, but rather on the Palestinian side, where certain parties control the movement of people to serve their narrow political interests, at a time when Egypt is making tremendous efforts to provide humanitarian and relief support to the people of the Gaza Strip.

 

The community affirmed that attempts to distort the facts, espoused by some hostile media outlets, will not succeed in undermining Egypt's steadfast and honorable role. It added that Egyptians in France will work to clarify these facts to European public opinion and emphasize that Egypt has not and will not abandon its national and humanitarian commitments to the Palestinian people.

 

The Egyptian community in France expressed its strong condemnation of previous attempts by some weak-willed individuals to close the Egyptian embassy or disrupt its operations, stressing that these actions do not represent honorable Egyptians but rather serve foreign agendas targeting Egypt and its institutions.

 

 

Call for Participation and Mobilization

 

As part of the "Your Homeland is Your Responsibility" initiative, public action leaders called on members of the Egyptian community in France to gather in large numbers in front of the Egyptian embassy on Saturday to participate in the national vigil, to affirm that Egypt is in the hearts and minds of its people, no matter how far the distance.

 

They explained that this participation is not merely a symbolic vigil, but rather a national duty and a clear message of solidarity, reflecting the cohesion of Egyptians at home and abroad, and renewing the pledge of loyalty and belonging to the motherland in the face of all attempts at targeting and distorting the image.

 

 

An Egyptian Message from Paris to the World

 

The Egyptian community in France concluded its statement by emphasizing that Egyptians abroad will remain a strong national voice reflecting Egypt's true image, and that their participation in the initiative will prove to the entire world that Egypt is not alone in facing challenges, but that its children everywhere are standing with it.
