CAIRO - 13 October 2025: French President Emmanuel Macron, upon his arrival in Sharm El Sheikh to participate in the high-level Peace Summit, commended Egypt's pivotal role in fostering peace and stability across the region.

"We value Egypt's role in establishing peace and stability in the region," President Macron stated, underscoring the necessity of continued cooperation with Cairo.

Macron further affirmed France's diplomatic position: "France supports dialogue to promote peace in the region... and we focus on the necessity of establishing an independent Palestinian state."

His comments reinforce the strong European emphasis on a political resolution and the two-state solution framework as central to achieving long-term regional security.
