CAIRO – 21 October 2025: Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ousted on Tuesday, Tzachi Hanegbi Head of the National Security Council of Israel.
In a statement Hanegbi published, he announced that he is stepping down from his post after Prime Minister Netanyahu informed him of plans to appoint a new head of the council, according to Israeli media.
“In light of this, my term as national security adviser and head of the National Security Council ends today. I will, of course, be at my successor’s disposal as needed,” Hanegbi added.
He demanded ‘a comprehensive investigation into the catastrophic failure that occurred on October 7,’ according to al Qahera News Channel.
