Madbouly and Gharib are due to co-chair the committee’s meeting on Wednesday, where the two sides will discuss a range of political and economic files and sign several memoranda of understanding in areas of mutual interest.

A joint business forum bringing together Egyptian and Algerian businessmen will also be held to explore investment and partnership opportunities.

Egypt and Algeria have held eight previous rounds of the joint committee, most recently in mid-2022 in Algiers, where the two countries signed a series of cooperation agreements and MoUs.
