CAIRO – 29 December 2025: Hamas’ military wing, the Martyr Izz El-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, has officially announced the death of its military spokesperson, Hudhaifah Kahlout, known as Abu Obeida.

In a televised address on Monday, the movement’s newly appointed spokesperson also confirmed the killing of the Chief of Staff of the Al-Qassam Brigades, Mohammed Al-Sinwar, also known as “Abu Ibrahim.”

The spokesperson further announced the deaths of Ra’ed Saad (“Abu Muadh”), head of the Military Production Department; Hakam Al-Issa (“Abu Omar”), head of the Support Weapons and Combat Services Department; and Mohammad Shabana (“Abu Anas”), commander of the Rafah Brigade.

“The ceasefire in Gaza and the cessation of bloodshed are the result of our people’s steadfastness and the resilience of our resistance fighters,” the new spokesperson said.

Despite what he described as continued attacks and violations since the end of the war, which he said crossed all red lines, he added that the resistance had fulfilled its obligations and acted with the utmost responsibility, taking into account the interests of the Palestinian people.

He concluded by stating, “We affirm that our right to respond to the occupation’s crimes is an inherent and guaranteed right, and we call on all concerned parties to restrain it and compel it to abide by what was agreed upon.”
