NEW YORK – 24 March 2026: Some Gulf countries are weighing potential military response to Iranian strikes that have continued for nearly a month, targeting critical infrastructure, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, citing several people with knowledge of the situation.

A potential military action by some Gulf countries would coincide with the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran, which started on February 28 and aims to ruin Iran’s military capabilities and nuclear infrastructure.

The sources said patience is wearing thin among some Gulf states following Iranian strikes that have targeted key infrastructure, including ports, energy facilities, and airports.

However, they noted that any decision to join the conflict would depend on whether Tehran follows through on threats to attack critical power and water infrastructure in the Gulf.

Such a move would mark a significant escalation, with regional players so far maintaining a cautious stance despite growing pressure.
