CAIRO - 25 March 2026: The Egyptian Cabinet's Media Center has issued a statement on Wednesday via its social media platforms to clarify reports regarding potential radioactive leaks affecting the country due to ongoing regional conflicts.
Following direct coordination with the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority, the Media Center confirmed that there are no indications of any change or increase in background radiation levels within the country.
The Authority emphasized that background radiation levels are monitored around the clock through its national radiation monitoring, early warning, and reporting system.
This network is deployed across the country and equipped with the latest monitoring technologies and devices.
