CAIRO – 15 May 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecasts moderate temperatures early Friday morning, becoming hot during the day across Lower Egypt and Greater Cairo, warm along the northern coast, and very hot in southern Egypt. Temperatures are expected to remain moderate at night.

Expected weather conditions on Friday include fog between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.

Wind activity, with speeds ranging from 30 to 35 km/h, is also expected across most parts of the country and may stir up sand and dust at intervals in parts of the Red Sea Governorate and northern and southern Upper Egypt.

Maritime navigation may be disrupted in some areas along the Red Sea coast and the Gulf of Suez, where wind speeds are expected to reach 40 to 50 km/h and wave heights may range from 2 to 3 meters.

There is also a slight chance of low clouds forming over scattered areas from northern Egypt to Greater Cairo and the Suez Canal cities, which could bring light, insignificant drizzle to some areas.

Northern Coast: High 25°C, Low 17°C

Northern Upper Egypt: High 36°C, Low 20°C
