CAIRO – 18 May 2026: Egypt’s House of Representatives convened its plenary session on Monday, chaired by Counselor Hisham Badawi, with the participation of Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, Counselor Aguila Saleh.
The session is dedicated to discussing ways to strengthen Egyptian-Libyan relations and comes within the framework of supporting joint cooperation between Egypt and Libya. It also aims at exploring mechanisms to enhance parliamentary and political coordination between the two countries.
This targets contributing to consolidating stability and supporting development efforts and joint cooperation, stemming from the historical relations and close ties between the two brotherly peoples.
Egyptian-Libyan relations continue to witness close coordination at various political and parliamentary levels, reflecting both countries’ commitment to strengthening joint cooperation and supporting efforts to restore stability in Libya, in a manner that serves the interests of both peoples and bolsters regional security and stability.
