CAIRO – 25 May 2026: The Official Gazette published on Monday Presidential Decree No. 219 of 2026 issued by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi granting pardons for a number of convicts on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
On May 20, Egypt’s Cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree granting pardons for the remainder of sentences for a number of convicts on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.
In March 2026, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a decree granting pardons to a number of convicts on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr and Sinai Liberation Day, observed annually on April 25.
In January 2026, President El-Sisi also issued a decree granting pardons for a number of convicts on the occasion of Police Day and the anniversary of the January 25 Revolution, both observed on January 25.
