CAIRO – 2 June 2026: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Tuesday with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, and Head of the Armed Forces Operations Authority Major General Mohamed Rabei.
Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the meeting covered a number of issues related to the Armed Forces' missions and efforts in implementing national projects.
These efforts fall within the Armed Forces' role in the development process, carried out in coordination with all ministries and state institutions to improve the efficiency of public services and effectively realize the state's development vision and sustainable development goals.
President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of accelerating the implementation of the various phases of national projects across the country while maintaining accuracy and technical efficiency, ultimately helping to provide a decent standard of living for citizens throughout Egypt.
The President also commended the efforts of the Egyptian state and its national institutions in addressing the challenges arising from successive global and regional crises. He expressed pride in the contributions and sacrifices made by the Armed Forces in carrying out their duties and responsibilities to safeguard the homeland and protect national security.
