CAIRO - 28 July 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's firm condemnation of the attacks launched by Iran against Kuwait, describing them as a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
He stressed Egypt's complete rejection of any attempt to undermine Kuwait's sovereignty or jeopardize its security and stability.
The remarks came during a phone call El-Sisi held on Tuesday with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el-Shennawy said President El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures taken by the Gulf state to safeguard its security and protect the interests of its people.
He also praised the Emir's wise leadership in managing the current regional circumstances and Kuwait's commitment to avoiding further regional escalation.
In this context, El-Sisi emphasized that the security of Kuwait and all Arab countries is an integral part of Egypt's national security.
He also highlighted Egypt's ongoing efforts to contain regional tensions and resolve crises through peaceful means.
The spokesman added that the Kuwaiti Emir expressed appreciation for Egypt's steadfast support for the security and stability of Arab states, stressing the importance of continuing close consultation and coordination between Egypt and Kuwait to preserve regional peace and stability and address shared challenges.
The Kuwaiti Emir also voiced his gratitude for Egypt's support during the current regional circumstances and commended Cairo's efforts to contain the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
