CAIRO – 30 July 2026: Kuwait's Defense Ministry on Thursday reported the death of one worker after an Iranian attack targeted a building belonging to a Chinese company in the country's north, causing extensive damage to the facility.

Meanwhile, the United States launched “a heavy wave” of strikes against Iran early early today in response to an attempted surprise missile attack by on US forces stationed in the Middle East a day earlier.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces targeted dozens of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sites, including military command centers, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense positions, and maritime capabilities.

According to CENTCOM, the operation aimed to further reduce threats posed by Iran and its allied groups to US forces, commercial shipping, and neighboring Gulf countries.
