A new group of Palestinians arrived at the Rafah border crossing on Sunday from the Egyptian side, preparing to return to the Gaza Strip
CAIRO - 30 July 2026: The Rafah border crossing in North Sinai received on Thursday, July 30, 2026, a new group of Palestinians returning to the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian side of the crossing.
A reliable source at the port said the group is the 68th batch of returning Palestinians, adding that all necessary procedures are being completed to facilitate their return to the Gaza Strip.
The source added that a team from the Egyptian Red Crescent received the returning Palestinians at the Rafah crossing, where Red Crescent teams are facilitating procedures in coordination with relevant authorities, distributing "return bags" and providing psychological support for children.
The Egyptian Red Crescent teams have been deployed at the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing to provide relief services to Palestinian nationals, including psychological support for children, family reunification services, personal care supplies and the distribution of return kits to those heading back to the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Egyptian authorities are preparing to receive a new group of wounded and sick Palestinians from the Gaza Strip for treatment at Egyptian hospitals.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health has established a medical point at the Rafah border crossing to examine incoming patients, conduct medical assessments and triage cases and transfer them to Egyptian hospitals through fully equipped Egyptian ambulances.
