CAIRO – 31 July 2026: France has expressed its full solidarity with Egypt following a drone attack on two ships in Damietta port on July 29, condemning the incident in the strongest terms.
A senior official at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs stated on Friday that France reaffirms its unwavering commitment to Egypt’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as to that of all its partners in the Middle East.
He emphasized that France remains dedicated to contributing to the defense and security of the region. Furthermore, he stressed the need for continued diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability, noting that France will continue to play an active role in these endeavors.
