Egypt's FM Abdelatty congratulates Yemeni counterpart on assuming post

CAIRO - 1 August 2026: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad Dr. Badr Abdelatty congratulated his Yemeni counterpart Dr. Afrah Abdul Aziz Al-Zuba on assuming her post, wishing her success in fulfilling her responsibilities. 

 

Minister Abdelatty congratulated her during a phone call on Saturday, where he also affirmed Egypt's pride in the fraternal and historical relations that bind the two brotherly countries and its keenness to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination in various fields.

 

The call addressed the latest developments in Yemen.

 

Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's unwavering support for Yemen's unity and territorial integrity, and its commitment to supporting its national institutions and the legitimate government, in accordance with relevant international resolutions, in order to contribute to achieving security and stability and fulfilling the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people.

 

The two ministers also exchanged views on regional developments and stressed the importance of continuing efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive political settlement that preserves the unity of the Yemeni state and achieves security and stability in the region.
