CAIRO - 3 August 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi praised the care provided to the Egyptian community in Bahrain during a Monday phone call with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
Spokesman for the Presidency Mohamed El-Shenawy said in a Monday statement that King Hamad initiated the call to express Bahrain’s full solidarity and sincere wishes for Egypt following an earthquake early Monday morning, reaffirming the kingdom's support for Egypt against all challenges.
Sisi expressed his gratitude for King Hamad’s sentiments, highlighting the deep, historic ties between both nations and their shared vision on regional crises to restore peace and stability.
He reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering commitment to supporting Bahrain's security, fully condemning Iranian attacks on the kingdom's sovereignty and stability while praising the Bahraini leadership’s measures to safeguard its national security.
King Hamad appreciated Egypt’s firm stance in backing Bahrain and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states amid ongoing regional military operations.
He emphasized Egypt's pivotal role regionally and internationally in achieving a sustainable political settlement that preserves Arab sovereignty.
The two leaders discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation by implementing the outcomes of the Bahraini Crown Prince’s September 2025 visit to Egypt, as well as the decisions of the second session of the Egyptian-Bahraini Joint Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation held in Manama in February 2025.
Sisi also commended the contributions of Egyptian expatriates to Bahrain’s ongoing development.
