CAIRO – 4 August 2026: Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, held an extensive meeting with representatives from Inventure Group, Pizzarotti, and China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to review the progress of the medical city projects in the New Administrative Capital and New El Alamein.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Mostafa, Chairman of the General Authority for Teaching Hospitals and Institutes, and Dr. Sherif Mostafa, Assistant Minister for National Projects.
The Minister emphasized that both projects mark a qualitative leap in Egypt's healthcare system by delivering integrated preventive and curative services that adhere to the highest international standards. He noted that the projects support state efforts to advance medical education, build modern training institutes, and upskill healthcare personnel.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that attendees reviewed the master plans and engineering blueprints for both sites. The planned developments feature dedicated medical, administrative, educational, and training zones, alongside specialized hospitals equipped with cutting-edge technology—reinforcing Egypt's status as a regional hub for specialized care, research, and medical training.
The Minister urged all parties to expedite implementation in line with approved schedules and instructed teams to conduct regular progress reviews. He affirmed that the medical cities will boost operational efficiency, elevate service quality, and position Egypt to attract medical tourists from across the region and beyond.
