President El-Sisi to welcome Bahrain's king for talks on bilateral ties, regional issues

CAIRO – 5 August 2026: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is set to receive Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Egypt on Wednesday during an official visit aimed at strengthening the longstanding ties between the two countries.

The two leaders are set to hold talks focused on deepening bilateral relations and bolstering cooperation across various sectors, the Presidency said in a statement.

Discussions will also cover the latest regional and international developments of mutual interest, the statement added.

The visit comes after President El-Sisi made short visits to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in March amid the US war in Iran and the Iran’s retaliatory strikes across the Gulf.

During these visits, the president affirmed Egypt's solidarity and full support for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in light of the current regional situation.
