Bahraini Amb.: King's visit to Egypt a new step in Egyptian-Bahraini relations

CAIRO - 6 August 2026: Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, affirmed that the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to Egypt, and the discussions and fraternal summit held with his brother, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, embodied the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries.

 

She added that it "reflected the shared will of the two wise leaderships to continue elevating the strategic Bahraini-Egyptian partnership to broader horizons," according to the Bahraini Embassy.

 

Ambassador Fawzia Zainal stated that the Egyptian-Bahraini summit is the culmination of a long history of close coordination and consultation between the two leaderships.

 

She reaffirmed the convergence of visions on various Arab, regional, and international issues, and the two countries' commitment to continuing joint efforts that enhance security, stability, and development in the region, and serve the higher interests of the Arab nation.

 

Zainal added that the talks between President El-Sisi and the King reflected the high level of mutual trust and deep understanding that characterizes Bahraini-Egyptian relations.

 

Both sides affirmed the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various political, economic, investment, trade, and development fields, in order to meet the aspirations of the leadership of both countries and achieve prosperity for their brotherly peoples.

 

The Ambassador noted that the challenges and rapid changes in the region underscore the importance of continued consultation and coordination between Egypt and the Kingdom of Bahrain, given their pivotal role in supporting joint Arab action, consolidating the principles of dialogue and peaceful solutions, and preserving the security and sovereignty of Arab states.

 

This contributes to achieving security, stability, peace, and sustainable development for the peoples of the region.

 

 

Egyptian-Bahraini Relations

 

The Ambassador emphasized that Bahraini-Egyptian relations, thanks to the gracious patronage of President El-Sisi and his brother, the King of Bahrain, are witnessing continuous development at all levels. They have become a model for Arab relations based on mutual respect, shared destiny, converging visions, and effective partnership in confronting regional and international challenges.

 

Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal added that this blessed visit represents a new step in the course of Egyptian-Bahraini relations, and reflects the keenness of the leadership of the two brotherly countries to build on the achievements made, and to continue strengthening cooperation and coordination in a way that serves common interests, and constitutes a pivotal pillar in consolidating the desired security and stability for the Arab region, and building an integrated model of joint Arab action based on solid foundations of friendship, mutual respect, and unity of destiny.
