CAIRO - 8 August 2026: The Ministry of Religious Endowments (Awqaf) is launching 26 outreach caravans for female preachers across all regional directorates, under the theme: "Bullying... Ridicule is Not Wit."
This initiative is part of the Ministry's ongoing outreach, educational, and awareness efforts, and falls within the framework of its outreach plan aimed at continuing to confront terrorism and extremism.
It also aims to combat all forms of intellectual extremism, addressing secular extremism manifested in the decline of values and morals, restoring and building the Egyptian national identity from a religious perspective, and contributing to the development of civilization.
These convoys come as part of the Ministry’s efforts to consolidate human and moral values, raise awareness of the seriousness of the bullying phenomenon and its negative effects on the individual and society.
They further aim to explain Islam’s position calling for respect for human dignity, rejecting mockery and ridicule of others, and promoting the values of mercy, compassion and solidarity among members of society.
Each convoy is preceded by a reading session for female preachers.
They are reaching all governorates, except for the Suez Directorate.
