PM follows up on presidential directives regarding Ismailia accident, orders swift compensation

CAIRO – 11 August 2026: Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly is tracking implementation of urgent directives issued by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi following a collision between two worker-transport vehicles in the Al Dawawis area of El-Tal El-Kebir district, Ismailia Governorate, which left several dead and dozens injured.

In a follow-up with Minister of Health and Population Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Prime Minister ordered that top-tier medical care be provided to all those injured in the crash.

Madbouly also instructed Ismailia Governor Major General Nabil El-Sayed Hasaballah and local officials to monitor on-the-ground developments, swiftly determine the cause of the accident, expedite legal procedures, identify those responsible, and support the victims' families.

Following discussions with Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsi, the Prime Minister ordered that compensation payments to the families of the victims be expedited and doubled in line with presidential instructions.

Morsi confirmed that the Central Administration for Social Protection was instructed to finalize all documentation to guarantee immediate payout of compensation to the injured and the families of the deceased.

The Prime Minister extended his sincere condolences to the victims' families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
