Egyptian red crescent supports victims’ families of Ismailia Accident, provides psychological support

CAIRO – 11 August 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) continues to deliver humanitarian aid and psychological support to those injured and the families of victims following a deadly two-vehicle collision in the Al Dawawis area of Qassasin district, Ismailia Governorate.

Working alongside local branches in Ismailia, Sharqia, and Port Said, ERC headquarters is helping families complete burial procedures, providing transportation and accompaniment during funerals, and offering psychological support and essential aid supplies.

The relief response follows directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and instructions from Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity and Vice President of the Egyptian Red Crescent, to support affected families during the ongoing crisis.

Support provided on the ground includes psychological first aid for victims' relatives and injured patients in hospitals, distribution of drinking water and personal hygiene kits, and direct assistance with funeral logistics.

The Egyptian Red Crescent stated that its field teams across the governorates remain on site to assess evolving needs and ensure continued care for affected families.
