Former Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry says his ‘health condition is stable’

CAIRO – 13 August 2026: Ambassador Sameh Shoukry, Egypt’s former Foreign Minister and current Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who reached out during his recent health scare and hospitalization.

In a statement posted to his Facebook page, Shoukry said: "I experienced a minor health issue and am recovering quickly," adding that his medical team has confirmed his condition is completely stable.

He is expected to be discharged from the hospital within the next few hours to resume his routine duties.
