CAIRO - 17 August 2026: The Holding Company for Biological Products and Vaccines (VACSERA) has launched a new awareness campaign to emphasize the importance of receiving the pneumococcal vaccine, under the slogan: “If your lungs could talk… what would they tell you?”

The campaign aims to raise public awareness about the importance of early prevention of the bacteria that cause pneumonia, noting that prevention is easier and more effective than treatment, and that the vaccine provides effective protection against serious, potentially life-threatening health complications.

Pneumococcal vaccination protects against severe bacterial infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, including pneumonia, meningitis, and blood infections.

Campaign Details and High-Risk Groups:

The Danger of the Bacteria: Pneumococcal disease is a common cause of pneumonia, and its danger lies in causing serious complications.

High-Risk Groups: Foods and vaccines are particularly targeted at young children, the elderly, and patients with chronic diseases.

Benefits of Vaccination: VACSERA has confirmed that the vaccine is safe, effective, and prevents serious complications to protect the individual and their loved ones.

The company urged citizens to go to the nearest branch of “Vacsera” centers to inquire and receive the pneumococcal vaccine to protect respiratory health.
