State-of-the-art electric fleet to serve Egypt's New Administrative City

CAIRO - 22 August 2026: Acta, the mass transit company affiliated with the Ministry of Transport, continues to solidify its position as a cornerstone of the smart and sustainable transportation system within the New Administrative City and surrounding urban areas.

 

This is achieved through the ongoing expansion of environmentally friendly transportation options and seamless integration with modern transportation networks.

 

 

A fully electric fleet and smart technologies:

 

The company's fleet comprises 210 diverse vehicles, most of which rely on clean energy:

 

40 electric buses, 20 natural gas-powered buses, and 10 diesel minibuses.

 

140 electric vehicles are part of the Capital Taxi system, including 58 Chevrolet Bolt cars and 82 MG4 cars.

 

Advanced technological equipment:

 

Buses are equipped with a visual and audible talking station system, facilities for people with disabilities, surveillance cameras, and tracking devices linked to the control center in real time.

 

Digital services for Capital Taxi:

 

These services include electronic POS terminals, surveillance cameras, GPS devices, and a mobile application available on the Google Play and Apple App Stores, allowing citizens to book rides. Service Made Easy

 

 

Record Growth Indicators and Driving Operational Performance

 

The company's operational performance reflects high efficiency in managing transportation services in new cities.

 

The company successfully transported 3.8 million passengers during 2025.

 

It achieved operating revenues of EGP 122.04 million.

 

Net profits reached EGP 101.389 million.

 

 

The company plays a pivotal role in connecting residential communities to the capital's transportation network.

 

The launch of 10 new locally manufactured minibuses to connect the Capital Gardens and Capital Flower cities to the Capital Gardens LRT station.

 

The Capital Taxi service expands its reach to connect the new cities of New Administrative Capital, Shorouk, Rehab, Madinaty, Capital Gardens, and Capital Flower to Adly Mansour Station, Heliopolis, and New Cairo.

 

Bus and taxi services are integrated with the operation of the LRT and the ongoing preparations for the launch of the first phase of the East Nile Monorail.
