CAIRO – 22 August 2026: Joint Egyptian-Chinese air training activities, “Eagles of Civilization 2026,” began on August 22, 2026 with the participation of a number of multi-role combat aircraft of various types.
The training is being conducted over several days at a number of air bases in of Egypt, according to a statement from the Egyptian Armed Forces on Saturday.
During the initial phase of the exercise, the participating forces are conducting theoretical lectures aimed at harmonizing combat concepts and doctrines between the two sides. The training also includes joint air sorties, as well as exercises in planning and managing air combat operations, contributing to the exchange of expertise and the development of the skills of the participating forces.
The exercise is part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ plan to conduct joint exercises with “brotherly and friendly” countries, with the aim of supporting and strengthening cooperation in various military fields.
