CAIRO – 23 August 2026: An Israeli man was moderately wounded in a stabbing attack near the Palestinian town of Al-Auja in the occupied West Bank’s Jordan Valley, Israeli media cited the military and medics as saying.
Israel’s Magen David Adom ambulance service said its paramedics are treating a 24-year-old man who was wounded in the stabbing.
The Israeli military said its forces have launched a manhunt for the attacker, setting up roadblocks around the town and in the surrounding area.
The town of Al-Auja lies along a major highway running through the Jordan Valley that is used by both Israelis and Palestinians.
