Romanian Embassy in Cairo: Trade with Egypt reaches $452.97M from March to July 2026

CAIRO - 3 August 2026: The Romanian Embassy in Cairo affirmed that economic diplomacy is among its top priorities, expressing its satisfaction that Egypt has regained its position as Romania's second-largest export market in Africa and the Middle East. 

 

The embassy added that Egypt ranks third across a broader geographical area encompassing Asia.

 

In a statement published on its Facebook page Monday, the embassy added that the value of trade between Egypt and Romania reached $452.97 million during the period from March to July 2026. 

 

The statement highlighted that this marks a 21% increase compared to 2025, according to the latest Romanian statistics.

 

The statement also noted that Romanian exports to Egypt nearly doubled, reaching $277.12 million, while Romanian imports from Egypt amounted to $175.82 million.
