CAIRO – 20 August 2026: Egypt’s Official Gazette has published Presidential Decree No. 703 of 2026, approving the second amendment to a financing agreement between the Egyptian government and the French Development Agency.
The amendment allocates €2 million to support Egypt’s social protection sector, subject to ratification.
The House of Representatives approved the decree on June 15, 2026, before President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ratified it on June 28.
Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty subsequently issued Decree No. 19 of 2026 ordering its publication in the Official Gazette.
