Mohamed Mounir & Ehab Abdelwahed Celebrate the Success of the Song ‘Dayye’

 

Composer Ehab Abdelwahed shared videos on his social media accounts featuring himself with the legendary Mohamed Mounir as the two celebrated the success of the song Dayye from the film Dayye: Seret Ahl El Dayye. Their celebration comes after the film’s strong performance in cinemas, coinciding with Abdel Wahid’s recording of Makani, the opening song for the Arab Cup. The video featured a cheerful appearance by Mohamed Mounir.

 

 Dayye: Seret Ahl El Dayye follows the story of an 11-year-old Nubian boy living with albinism, a rare hereditary condition known as “enemy of the sun.” The film presents a compelling portrait of family struggles and the boy’s journey as he confronts his fate while searching for his talent. Blessed with a beautiful voice, he dreams of joining a talent-discovery show despite the challenges he faces.

 

The film brings together, for the first time, 11 star guest appearances in key roles, including “The King” Mohamed Mounir, who returns to cinema after a 20-year absence, alongside Ahmed Helmy, Mohamed Mamdouh, and others.

 

 Dayye: Seret Ahl El Dayye was screened at several international festivals before its theatrical release, including the Red Sea International Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival.

 

The film stars Badr Mohamed, Aseel Omran, Islam Mubarak, Haneen Saeed, and more, alongside the guest stars. It is written by Haitham Dabbour and directed by Karim El Shenawy.
