Ryan Gosling Officially Joins the MCU as Ghost Rider

Marvel Studios delivered one of the biggest surprises of San Diego Comic-Con 2026 as Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige officially unveiled Ryan Gosling as Johnny Blaze in a brand-new Ghost Rider solo film. The highly anticipated movie is set to hit theaters in 2028 and will be directed by Shawn Levy.

Gosling joined Feige on the Hall H stage to a roaring ovation from thousands of fans, marking one of the convention’s biggest moments. Addressing the crowd, the Oscar-nominated actor shared his excitement about finally stepping into the iconic role, saying, “Is this really happening? As you know, this is a character I’ve wanted to play for a long time.”

The announcement officially brings Ghost Rider into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ending years of fan speculation and making Gosling one of the newest high-profile stars to join the franchise.
