Dawlet El Telawa Competition Holds Special Prayer for Egypt Following Monday’s Earthquake.
On the second day of Dawlet El Telawa (State of Recitation) Competition in Assiut Governorate, participants and attendees offered prayers for Egypt’s safety and protection following Monday’s earthquake.
After the Dhuhr prayer at Al-Baqli Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Maher Farmawy, a member of the competition’s judging panel and a Quran reciter with Egyptian Radio and Television, led worshippers in a heartfelt supplication, praying for Egypt to be safeguarded from earthquakes, disasters, and all harm, with the congregation joining in saying “Ameen.”
Meanwhile, contestants from the governorates of Minya, Assiut, Sohag, and the New Valley gathered at Al-Baqli Mosque for the second consecutive day to compete in the central oral preliminary rounds of the second edition of the Dawlet El Telawa Competition, organized by Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf.
The competition is taking place from August 2 to 6, amid extensive preparations to welcome participants from across the country.
