Baheya Launches its third Early Detection Unit and Specialized Outpatient Clinics in New Cairo to Expand Access to Women’s Healthcare

As part of its strategy to expand geographically and make its medical services accessible to more women across Egypt, Baheya Foundation and Hospitals has inaugurated a new Early Detection Unit and Specialized Outpatient Clinics in New Cairo, marking another milestone in its mission to support women’s health through comprehensive early detection and integrated treatment for breast cancer.
The new facility has been established in response to the growing demand for early detection and specialized medical services, as well as the increasing public awareness of the importance of early diagnosis—an awareness that Baheya has consistently championed.
The center will serve women in New Cairo, the New Administrative Capital, and surrounding communities, providing easier access to quality healthcare while reducing travel time and effort.
This expansion is part of Baheys’s broader strategic vision to reach more than 3.5 million women in East Cairo, complementing its existing services in West Cairo through its Haram and Sheikh Zayed branches.
Altogether, Baheya network is expected to serve nearly 5 million women Eng. Tamer Shawky, Chairman of Baheya Foundation, emphasized that the opening of the new facility represents a significant step toward ensuring that every woman in Egypt has access to specialized, free healthcare services.

Dr. Mohamed Emara, Chief Executive Officer of Baheya Foundation and Hospitals, highlighted the importance of timely treatment, stating: Time is a decisive factor in the treatment journey and has a direct impact on recovery rates, which currently exceed 98% in Egypt when breast cancer is detected early.
He added that over the past years, Baheya has successfully built an integrated healthcare model that combines medical excellence with compassionate patient care, and that the new expansion reflects the foundation’s continued commitment to strengthening its healthcare infrastructure and making early detection and treatment available to the largest possible number of women.
