Egypt highlighted its active participation in the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM). The mission is tasked with paving the ground for Somalia to assume full responsibility for securing its territory and advancing the aspirations of its people toward a stable, prosperous future.
The leaders of Egypt and Somalia signed on Thursday a joint political declaration to elevate the relations between both countries to the level of strategic partnership.
