At the beginning of the meeting, Abdelatty welcomed her and congratulated her on assuming her new post, besides expressing his gratitude and appreciation to Japan for its great support for the construction of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is main funder of the GEM as it provided two soft loans totaling around $$800 million to cover construction and associated costs, according to JICA data.
The Directorate of Youth and Sports in Giza Governorate will broadcast the opening ceremony in clubs and youth centers through 34 youth and sports institutions affiliated with 19 sub-directorates, allowing citizens of all ages to follow this historic global event that reflects the grandeur of Egyptian civilization.
The Presidency said on Friday evening that the grand opening will witness an unprecedented international attendance, with 79 official delegations, including 39 led by kings, princes, and heads of state and government.
