5th AU Awareness Week on Post Conflict Reconstruction
El-Sisi stressed the importance of implementing the updated African Union policy on post-conflict reconstruction, focusing on rehabilitating institutions, supporting national ownership of solutions, building citizen and professional capacities, raising awareness of conflict risks, and advancing inclusive development.
This year’s event, held from November 17 to 23, carries the theme “Rebuilding Lives after Conflict through Reparative Justice” and will see its main activities hosted in Cairo.
