International Youth Day
In a social media post marking International Youth Day, El-Sisi said he has directed the National Training Academy, in coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and all relevant state agencies, to launch the platform.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi marked the International Youth Day held annually on 12 August, saying the Egyptian youth “are half the present and all the future”.
With youth making half of the population in the south Mediterranean countries, the rate of young unemployed graduates stands above 25 percent.
“I affirm that the Egyptian state is determined to continue its support to the youth and prepare them in a way that achieves a better future for our Egypt,” said Sisi.
USAID is partnering with UNICEF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to promote youth employment and female empowerment in celebration of International Youth Day.
