CAIRO - 3 August 2026: Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty held a Monday phone call with Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
The two ministers exchanged views on regional updates, emphasizing the need to intensify efforts to contain tensions, prevent further escalation, and create suitable conditions to resume political and diplomatic paths for resolving regional crises.
They also stressed the importance of respecting international law, safeguarding international navigation, and guaranteeing freedom of navigation in international waterways to preserve regional security and stability.
Abdelatty and Al Zayani highlighted the importance of continued coordination and consultation between Egypt and Bahrain, building on the momentum in bilateral relations to bolster joint Arab action.
