The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said it had been “following what some Arab and international media outlets publish regarding Egyptian affairs,” noting that “some coverage contained incorrect and inaccurate news concerning Egypt.”
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said the TIHAMA was targeted by several missiles while sailing off the Yemeni coast, south of Al-Mokha port, in Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
The ministry issued a statement following reports circulated by several media outlets and social media platforms claiming that the address of the company operating the targeted vessel is located in Alexandria, Egypt.
