Prophet’s Birthday
Mawlid al-Nabawi is a beloved occasion in Egypt and is celebrated by prayers, songs praising the Prophet, shows and podcasts on his life, as well as nutty sweets available almost exclusively during the occasion.
The Ministry of Health announced discarding four tons and 838 kilograms of inedible candy manufactured for the celebrations of the Prophet’s birthday.
